Miami Gardens echoed with a roar of cheers, nearly drowning out the sound of the Formula One cars zipping around the 5.41 km Miami International Autodrome

Despite being pushed late by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Verstappen won the Miami Grand Prix 2022.
Having reversed his luck from practice, Max Verstappen quickly pushed ahead of Charles Leclerc to edge out an easy lead by mid-race.
Despite consistently placing in the top two during the afternoon, the Ferrari driver struggled to drive the car, saying, "It's so difficult." before pitting for hard tires.
Carlos Sainz, Sergio Pérez, and George Russell completed the top 5, and as is an American tradition, Verstappen, Leclerc, and Sainz each wore a football helmet to the podium.
A few months later, safety cars ultimately did play a role in shifting the race, providing other battles besides the Verstappen-Leclerc duel of 2022.
The safety car erased Verstappen's huge lead over Leclerc. When discussing safety cars, every Formula One fan will remember the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix of 2021.
